An ETF trades like a share, often tracks an index, and suits benchmarks or a portfolio core.

An ETF (exchange-traded fund) is a fund whose units trade on an exchange like shares. Many track an index (e.g. S&P 500).

Popular for simple diversification and low costs. Market risk remains, plus FX risk if quoted in a foreign currency.
